_Born in Lima, Peru and currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
_Passionate about finding stories and creating narratives that expose the complexity of humans. My works combines my skills and experience as a designer, artist and technologist. I graduated from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU. Prior to that I have 7 years of experience working as a video and content producer, where I guided projects from ideation to execution.
_I’m currently a Content Designer at Cisco Systems, working on crafting content and experiences for internal Cisco tools. Previously, I was a Senior Program Manager at NYC FIRST, where I design learning experiences and manage a Maker Space and a team that serves low income communities.
_I recently produced the third season of State of the Art Podcast and was a guest artist at the Creativity Lab at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) facilitating workshops that explore weaving and collective storytelling, and being part of #HablArte, a series of conversations about art in Spanish, also at MoMA.
_I have also been exploring the linkages between weaving and computational thinking, creating pieces that translate oral stories into physical weavings that have been exhibited at the New Latin Wave Festival in New York and Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo in Peru. I served as a researcher at the Technology Lab at BF+DA at Pratt University and has also facilitated different workshops about the intersection of weaving and coding, in places like Pioneer Works, Currents New Media Festival and the Brooklyn Museum. I co-curated and produced the exhibition “Beyond Punch Cards”, bringing together artists challenging the common perceptions of weaving and coding, that took place in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
